Applying and decisions
Does choosing an amount send an application?
No. The homepage slider and the calculator are only estimates. You only send an application when you finish the form and confirm the final declarations.
If I meet the basics, will I be approved?
Not always. The basics help you avoid an application that will not work, but we still check your identity, income, costs, other debts, bank data and the loan you want.
Will you do a credit check?
We may get a credit report when the law allows, it is needed and we have told you first. The application explains this before any check happens.
Could I get a different amount?
Only if you said you would consider another amount. Any other amount is checked and shown to you with its own cost and repayments. You do not have to accept it.
Why might my application need a closer look?
A person looks more closely when information does not match, a check is incomplete, transactions are unusual, you may need extra care, there is a fraud concern, or anything else needs judgement.
Will applying affect my credit score?
Using the calculator or reading about eligibility does not touch your credit file. When you apply, we may ask for your credit report, which records an enquiry. We ask for your consent and explain this before any check happens.
Why was my application declined?
Usually because the repayments would not fit comfortably in your budget, or because we could not check something. We tell you the main reason and how to get a copy of any credit report we used. Before applying anywhere else, talk to a free financial counsellor, because lots of applications can affect future ones.
Is approval or payment instant?
No. We never promise a time. Checks, missing information, a closer look, security checks and bank processing can all affect when you hear from us and when the money arrives.
The loan and its costs
How much will I be able to borrow?
You will be able to borrow $2,050 to $4,600 in cash. The $400 establishment fee is added to the loan, so the loan amount is $2,450 to $5,000. We do not offer loans of $2,000 or less.
What if I need less than $2,050?
We will only offer one kind of loan, starting at $2,050 in cash. For a smaller amount, a No Interest Loan or a payment plan may cost less. Our medium amount loans guide explains the options.
When is my first repayment?
You choose it before you sign your contract: any day from 7 days after your loan is paid. Choosing your next pay day can help.
How long does applying take?
If you have your ID and online banking login ready, you can finish in one sitting. Your answers are saved as you go, so you can stop and come back.
How long can I borrow for?
Our loans run for 3 or 6 months.
Are there any other fees?
There are no monthly, account or early repayment fees. A $35 fee applies each time a repayment is missed or fails. If an overdue loan is sent to an external collection agency, collection costs may be added as your contract allows. Our rates and fees page lists every cost.
Is the calculator a quote?
No. It is an estimate. Your exact cost and repayment schedule are only in your offer and contract.
Do I need to pay anything to get my loan?
No. Evercrest will never ask you to send money to a personal account or buy gift cards or cryptocurrency to release a loan. Every fee is in your contract.
Repayments and help
How are repayments set?
Your contract and your account show each amount and date. Where we can, we line them up with how often you are paid.
Can I pay extra or pay it all off early?
Yes, with no early repayment fee. Your account lets you pay the next repayment, any amount, or the full balance, and shows you the payout figure before you confirm.
What if I cannot make a repayment?
Contact us as early as you can. You do not need to miss a payment or use special words to ask for hardship help, and asking is free.
Do I lose any rights when I make a payment?
No. Making a payment never stops you asking for hardship help, complaining, asking us to fix a mistake or disputing a payment.
How do I make a complaint?
Our support page explains how. It is free, you do not need an account, and if we cannot fix it you can take it to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
Privacy and security
Why do you need my bank information?
It helps us check your income, regular costs, other repayments and spending patterns. Before we collect it, we tell you why, who we share it with and your choices.
Can I change a signed contract?
No. You can view and download a read-only copy at any time. Our system makes your contract from approved templates before you sign.
Will Evercrest ask for my password or a code?
Never. Our staff will never ask for your email, banking or account password, or a one-time code. Never share them with anyone who says they are from Evercrest.
How do I report an accessibility problem?
Use our accessibility page or our support page. Tell us what did not work and the format you need, and we will help another way.
