Vet loans for one-off pet treatment.

Evercrest Finance will offer one loan for one-off costs like a big vet bill: $2,050 to $4,600 in cash, repaid over 3 or 6 months. Check your pet insurance and your vet’s options first.

What it can cover

  • Surgery after an accident or illness.
  • Treatment for a sudden illness.
  • Dental work for your pet.
  • X-rays, scans or tests.
  • A large bill after a stay in an animal hospital.

Check these before you borrow

Ask for an estimate

Vets can give you a written estimate, and update it as treatment goes.

Check your pet insurance

Your policy may pay part of the bill. Check what’s covered, any waiting periods and how to claim.

Ask about paying over time

Some vets offer payment plans. Compare what they cost.

Lower-cost clinics

Animal welfare groups such as the RSPCA run vet clinics in some areas, often at a lower cost.

When this loan isn’t the right fit

  • Regular costs like food, flea or worming treatments.
  • Vet costs that come back month after month.
  • Everyday bills or living costs that keep coming back.
  • Paying off other loans or debts.
  • Anything for a business, investing or gambling.

Questions

Can I apply with my vet’s estimate?

Yes. Approval depends on your circumstances and isn’t guaranteed, so ask your vet about other options too.

What if my pet insurance pays me back?

You can use that money to repay the loan early, with no early repayment fee.

How quickly is the money paid?

If you’re approved and accept your contract, the money is sent to your own bank account. Timing depends on your bank and our checks, so we can’t promise when it will arrive.

Can I pay it off early?

Yes. You can repay early at any time, with no early repayment fee. You only pay interest for the time you have the money.
